Of shaadis & Shehnaais
The weddings were so much fun last night,I love indian weddings they are colourful, bright, happy and so much fun to be at.I finished working at 8.30 last night which gave me precisely 15 minutes to get ready.Draped my sari and rushed off to the first farm house.Serious political scene and very quite.I ate some deeeeelicous prawns and socialized for an hour before moving to the next shaadi with another bunch of friends.
This one rocked.I could barely get inside and there were ppl everywhere.Bonded with a few classmates from college, socialized till midnight that is when my super heavy sari was beginning to drag me down.I was so tired and decided to leave by 1 am coz there were talks of a champagne breakfast. Enough to scare the living day lights out of me for sure.Where do ppl get the energy to party like this?Maybe its the alcohol, I am a teetotaller so thats one reason less to stay for champagne breakfasts.The love of my life was there with his girlfriend.I know its not worth my time but sometimes we love with nothing more than hope and cry with everything but tears.In the end thats all there is love and its duty sorrow and its truth.Thats all I have every single night to cling onto till dawn approaches and I try forgetting the ache with work and friends.At the end of the day its just me and I need to accept that and find happiness in it.
An old friend called in the morning and woke me up at six this after I slept at three. Last night all I drank was a diet coke and ate four pcs of prawns I was so famished by eight (which is when I usually wake up) that I accepted her breakfast invitation.So there I was eating breakfast at The Oberoi shocking everyone with my appetite.I wanted to go to American Diner but she insisted on the buffet.Why would someone waste good money on a buffet and drink only a glass of juice for breakfast?Thats exactly what she did.I on the other hand ate chicken sausages with cheese, a platter of fruit and a glass of cold coffee.Fininshing work now and off to see a site I am planning to do up. Its a two storey office which I will do up in silver and black.Personally prefer something more classic though.I have a great concept though planning not to make it too office-ish ass plenty of lights,plants and couches while breaking the monotony of silver and black with rich colourful rugs.
